PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Kohl's in Panama City was one of many local businesses destroyed by Hurricane Michael.
The department store had its grand reopening Saturday, seven months after the storm.
The employees celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony and gift cards for the first 100 customers.
People were lined up starting at 6 a.m. for the 9 a.m. opening.
Nichole Newell, the store manager at Kohl's in Panama City, said, "We are so excited to be back in the community. It's been way too many months since we've been able to see all of our customers and our loyal fan base here in Panama City and we're excited to be a part of the community again."
They had their soft opening Sunday, but are now back to business as usual.
