The Carousel on Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach has become something of a gathering spot as people park their cars across the street and watch the sun set. Many bring their trucks, back them in, and enjoy dinner with a view.

"What would be the next best thing to being on the beach? Being close to the beach. We thought let's go down there to the Carousel and back the truck up and put our chairs in, and let's sit at the beach," said Panama City Beach resident Vincent Reggero.

"It helps me keep a positive outlook because I can still see this beautiful beach even though I'm not on it, but I can still enjoy it," said another Panama City Beach resident, Yoshiko Gillette.

Many people gathering in front of the Carousel bring their beach chairs and maybe even a to-go plate, so they can have dinner with a view as close to the water as they can.
