Long lines at Jackson County polls

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Many people in Jackson County didn't let long lines or rain keep them from casting their votes.

More than 8,500 people voted early. Close to 3,400 people voted by mail.

Voter turnout was more than 57 percent.

Three voting locations were open in Jackson County: the Supervisor of Elections office, the Graceville Civic Center, and Sneads City Hall.

When polls closed at 7 p.m., the line was wrapped around the Supervisor of Elections office and down Green Street.

The last people were voting around 8:30 p.m., an hour and a half after polls closed.
