Lynn Haven residents continue to see hurricane relief trust fund money

LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Lynn Haven is continuing to help its residents and their wallets after Hurricane Michael.

The city is still accepting and approving applications for their hurricane relief trust fund grants. At Tuesday's city commission meeting the board approved 42 applicants who will receive $1,000 to use in any way they wish.

City officials say they hope the grants can extend to more residents as time goes on.

Vickie Gainer, the acting City Manager said, "We take this very seriously, we have thousands of applications and our goal is for every citizen in the city of Lynn Haven to receive a $1,000 grant."

City officials say they're continuing to accept applications for the grant and there isn't a set end date for those who wish to apply.
