WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Deputies say a man is facing charges after an argument leads to a stabbing.
Walton County Sheriff's Deputies say they got a call early Saturday morning from an area hospital about a victim coming in with six lacerations and a bruise on his head.
Deputies say when they spoke with the victim, he told them he had argued with Omar Bernal, 27. He said Bernal hit him in the head with a beer bottle and he lost consciousness. They say several witnesses were interviewed and a broken beer bottle was found at the scene. They say Bernal fled the area after the incident and tried to hide his identity when confronted.
Deputies say Bernal denied any physical contact with the victim.
Bernal was arrested and charged with aggravated battery.
