CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A man is facing charges after witnesses say he was grabbing ducks by the neck and throwing them.
Saturday, Crestview Police responded to Twin Hills Park after getting calls from witnesses, who said Joshua Demers, 38, was throwing ducks into the water or against the railing of the walking bridge crossing the pond.
Police said when they got there, Demers was belligerent and causing a disturbance "that was drawing a crowd of angry onlookers."
Police say witnesses showed them videos of Demers throwing the ducks.
Demers is charged with cruelty to animals.
Police said the ducks' injuries were not life threatening and they have been returned to the water of Twin Hills Park without further incident.
