Woman sentenced to 13 years for DUI-manslaughter

CALHOUN COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Starla Bruner of Altha was sentenced to 13 years in prison for DUI-Manslaughter.

On June 16, 2018, Bruner was driving under the influence of meth and ran head-on into another car.

The man driving the other car was Brandon Hall, an off duty correctional officer. He died from his injuries.

Judge Gay sentenced Bruner to 13 years in prison, which was beyond the recommended guideline sentence, after hearing testimony from the victim's family.
