Man suspected of killing two in Fountain makes first court appearance

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The man who deputies say shot and killed two people in Fountain Wednesday made his first court appearance Friday afternoon.

Jason Jones is accused of murdering his mother and an innocent bystander. He's charged with two counts of second-degree murder.

He faces another count of aggravated child abuse and a count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in a case of domestic violence.

Jones is being held without bond.

Jones is also not allowed to have contact with the two shooting survivors.

His next court date is April 27.
