Good Monday morning everyone!
It's a quiet start on radar despite a broken cloud deck trying to work it's way into the Panhandle this morning. These low level clouds drift through some areas of the Panhandle, mainly west of Hwy79, early on and could be thick enough to block out the sun for the first few hours this morning. But by mid to late morning they'll break up and we'll all look forward to a beautiful sunny afternoon.
Temperatures this morning are seasonally chilly as many are starting out in the low 40s with a wind chill in the 30s. Be sure to bundle up for the morning commute! Once all the clouds start to break up and more sunshine pours in, we'll see temperatures rise into the upper 50s near 60 degrees this afternoon.
High pressure is building in from the west early on this week lending to quiet and dry weather with a lot of sunshine. Cool northerly flow continues as we sit on the east side of this high keeping our temperatures pretty close to seasonal average of upper 30s or low 40s in the mornings and near 60 in the afternoon
As the high slides by to the east by mid to late week we'll see winds pick back up from the south warming us up into the mid to upper 60s to finish off the work week. We won't have any rain concerns this week until late week as a pair of cold fronts head our way.
The first front won't have much fan fair for any rain heading into Friday. However, the second one moving in for the weekend may be one of the better rain makers again as well as bring our first big blast of winter air heading into early next week.
For today, a few clouds in the morning will give way to sunny skies by the afternoon. Highs today will be seasonal in the upper 50s near 60 degrees. Your 7 Day Forecast shows a lot of sunshine this week with a gradual warm up into the mid 60s by mid week.
