Good Monday morning everyone!
Meteorologist Ryan Michaels showing the spotty showers or thunderstorms that may head our way by the late afternoon or early evening in NWFL.
It's a quiet start on radar this morning with clear skies overhead. We'll see a pretty quiet day in our skies overall, but toward the end of the day we may get some showers or storms to flare up off the cluster of storms we see in Mississippi this morning.
Otherwise, it's a very warm morning in the low 80s on the coast to upper 70s inland. There will once again be no shortage of heat in the forecast for today so dress comfy! Highs push the upper 80s to near 90 degrees on the coast while inland highs reach the mid 90s. But feels like temperatures once again are expected to reach the low triple digits.
We'll see our fair share of sunshine today as our ridge gradually breaks down overhead throughout the early week forecast. As the ridge gradually diminishes, a decaying line of thunderstorms in Mississippi this morning may hold together long enough to bring us a late day shower or thunderstorm across NWFL.
Otherwise, showers and thunderstorms will be fairly isolated through the early week, with only a few afternoon showers or thunderstorms expected to develop each day mainly inland. By mid to late week the ridge will dissipate and allow for better chances of afternoon showers and thunderstorms to develop mainly along the sea breeze, and much more likely to be found inland as opposed to the coast.
For today, mostly sunny skies with a late day shower or thunderstorm possible. Otherwise, highs in the upper 80s to near 90 on the coast with mid 90s inland and feels like temperatures for all between 100-105°. Your 7 Day Forecast keeps us running with small chances for an afternoon shower or storm with otherwise mostly to partly sunny skies and hot conditions throughout much of this week.
