Monday Forecast

Good Monday morning everyone!

Meteorologist Ryan Michaels shows the heat index returning to the triple digits tomorrow as well.

It's a quiet start on radar this morning despite a few clouds passing through. We'll see plenty of sunshine early on today, so grab the shades before heading out the door!

You'll want to dress comfy as well. It's a warm and humid morning in the mid to upper 70s for most out the door away from the coast, to near 80 on the coast. We'll have another toasty day ahead as highs reach the upper 90s near the triple digits inland to low 90s on the coast. But everyone's feels like temperatures will easily reach the triple digits near 100-105° as dew points are expected to be quite sultry today.

That heat and humidity, plus a stalled out front to our north in Alabama, provides a bit of instability for a few scattered afternoon storms to flare up. They'll develop mainly around the I-10 corridor and north into the Wiregrass of South Alabama.

Otherwise, we're not looking at much more for rain chances ahead in the forecast. Heat and humidity alone may be enough to get a few storms to pop tomorrow afternoon. But they'll be very stray and brief in nature if you happen to catch one.

The front moves out through midweek as high pressure settles in over the Mid-Atlantic states creating some weak northerly flow over the Southeast. That will lead toward our moisture dropping slightly, just enough to remove rain chances from the forecast through the mid to late week.

Bottom Line...
For today, mainly to mostly sunny skies for the coast, with skies turning partly cloudy inland where a few stray afternoon storms are possible, especially north of the I-10 corridor. Highs today reach the low 90s on the coast to upper 90s inland with feels like temperatures around 100-105°. Your 7 Day Forecast keeps us running toasty with limited rain chances and quite a bit of sunshine, especially from Wednesday through Friday.
