LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP)- Mosley sophomore Zane Norris is remembered as a dedicated percussionist, student, and friend.

Zane was killed after being hit by a car Monday morning on North Star Avenue.

According to the Mosley Band's Facebook page, Zane was an organ donor and was able to directly save eight people and indirectly help hundreds of people.

Mosley band director Doug Dobos says the family will be having a small funeral soon, but a memorial service will be held once large gatherings are allowed again.

"Just realizing how many kids either respected him or were friends with him, or family friends and kids I didn't even imagine being friends with him were. It was just amazing to see the impact he had both as a student and as a musician," Dobos said.

Dobos also remembers Zane as a driven student who was always practicing and eager to learn different percussion instruments.
