PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A replica of the ship captained by Christopher Columbus has made its way to Panama City and can be seen at the St. Andrews Marina this week.
The replica of the Santa Maria, the ship that made one of the most important maritime voyages in history, will be on display all this week. It set sail in 2017 to mark the 525th anniversary of the original voyage which started in Spain in August of 1492.
Tours are open to the public to show off the vessel that played a main role in the discovery of America.
You can tour the ship and talk to crew members about their experiences sailing on this historic replica from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily from now until Sunday, March 17. Tickets can be purchased at the dock.
