PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Friday night the Lyndell Center in Panama City Beach lit up with some of the most special people in our community.
Those with special needs attended the annual Night to Shine event, where hundreds were dressed to the nines.
It's sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and Messiah Lutheran Church.
This year's event was much different than the last due to Hurricane Michael. Not as many people were in attendance and the venue was smaller, but Event Coordinator Kim Cicero says the show must go on.
"This is the one thing that I will do until I can no longer physically do it. It means so much to me. No matter what the stress level is all year, what the chaos that goes on into it, seeing these individuals on this night for the four hours that were here is all worth it," said Cicero.
Those who attended had dinner, limo rides, photo opportunities, and of course, an open dance floor.
