PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - According to the Panama City Beach government website, a precautionary boil water notice has been issued for all streets north of Panama City Beach Parkway (Back Beach Road) and west of Highway 79.
The website says due to a water main break Wednesday, the water supply was interrupted and once repaired, you may experience discolored water about 24 hours after your water returns.
As a precaution, the City of Panama City Beach advises all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled.
This notice will be in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe to drink.
If you have any questions, please contact Panama City Beach Utilities at (850) 233-5100 from 8 a.m.-4p.m., Monday-Friday, or after hours and weekends at (850) 233-5050.
