PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Panama City Beach is now screening city employees before they come to work.
City officials say all employees will be screened at the beginning of each shift. If an employee has a fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more, they will be sent home immediately on sick leave.
Employees will also be asked if they have a cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath.
City officials say these measures have been added to protect their workforce and community as a whole.
