PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - This Saturday at McKenzie Park in Panama City, the Survivor's Jam is a spot where people can do exactly that.

The event starts at 3 p.m. in Gateway Park then moves over to the grassy area behind McKenzie Park.

To recognize the community's perseverance in recovery, Senator George Gainer will be in the park around 5:30.

"I think it's good for all of us to come together and just talk about what has happened in the past year, where we were at after the hurricane and where we're at today," said Pam Armstrong, the owner of Tom's Hot Dogs.

There will also be food, vendors, and a concert. The event is free.
