PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Downtown Panama City was jamming out Saturday for Panama City's Survivor's Jam.
Tons of people showed up for the Panama City Survivors Jam. (WJHG/WECP)
The concert was held behind McKenzie Park and had four cover bands performing different types of music.
Panama City partnered with Scamp Entertainment to hold the jam to celebrate how far the city has come in the year since Hurricane Michael.
The concert was free, but vendors were there selling food, art, and merchandise.
The owner of Scamp Entertainment is a Panama City native himself, so he says the event was very important to him.
Gary Kolmetz, Owner of Scamp Entertainment, said, "We've seen a lot of different types of fundraisers and relief projects and sometimes you just have to stop for a moment and actually look how far we've come, and we've come so far, it's time to take a moment and celebrate."
All proceeds from the jam will go to United Way of Northwest Florida.
