Panama City man claims $1 million jackpot from scratch-off game

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Panama City man claimed a $1 million prize from a Florida Lottery Headquarters.

Officials say Aaron Pitts, 26, of Panama City, won the million dollars from the $20 Monopoly Jackpot Scratch-Off game. They say he chose to get his winnings in a lump sum of $715,000.

Pitts bought his ticket from Ami 58 Food Mart on Back Beach Road in Panama City Beach.

Florida Lottery Scratch-Offs generate more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund in 2017-2018.
