Mayor Richard Musgrave said since mobile homes do not comply with building codes, they're not built to withstand a storm like Hurricane Michael. They want to make sure property owners build houses up to code on their property.

"We want from a safety and a security stand point, mobile homes that are coming into mobile home parks have to meet Wind Zone 3 which is a more rigid standard than they're up to now. Those are some of the other changes we're looking at," said Mayor Musgrave.

Musgrave said people will be allowed to keep mobile homes on their property while they're rebuilding their houses.
