PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The NeuroPain Center's doors have been open since May 2007, according to the clinic's website.

There was a heavy FBI and DEA presence at The NeuroPain Center in Panama City Thursday morning. (WJHG/WECP)

Over the years, the practice has had some long term patients, like Lisa Neer.

"I've been coming here for six years and they've been honest and upfront," said Neer.

Around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, FBI and DEA agents came into the clinic's office.

"I heard a guy on the door saying 'open this door, or we'll open it for you,' and they had a crowbar in their hand and everything so they were wanting in there for some reason," said Neer.

"I sit down for like two seconds and the next thing I know, we have FBI and DEA coming through the door," said another patient, Catina O'Bryan.

Many of those patients were in disbelief.

"I think it's crazy. It's just crazy nuts," said Neer.

The FBI released a statement to us saying in part, "with support from our federal partners, we executed a court authorized search."

They also mentioned the warrant remains sealed and they can't provide any other information.

Now patients are concerned as to where they can get their pain medication.

"People who are in pain like I am and need their medicine, this messes it up," said O'Bryan.

Patients told us federal agents had them reschedule their appointments.

We reached out to the clinic for comment and have not heard back.

We'll keep you updated as we learn more.
