PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Panama City Rescue Mission is living up to it's name!
On Friday members from the organization went to Tent City to drop off about 30 blankets and winter coats.
The group is also fulfilling one of their operations, the Warm Heart Initiative, where staff from the organization donates materials to those in need and they're then passed out during night visits.
"Our main focus is to make sure that everyone is blessed with additional supplies they have received from our donors and clients in the area but also to make sure that individuals here know that they can come to Panama City Rescue Mission for additional services," said Panama City Rescue Mission's Chief Development Officer, Shawnte Williams.
Panama City Rescue Mission and Bethel Village, which is the women's division of PCRM, both have check in times at 4 p.m. where those in need can help themselves to a hot meal, shower, and see if there's an available bed.
