Xzavier World, a member of the basketball team, won the scholarship out of a drawing pool of more than 250,000 people. His biggest goal for college is to graduate debt-free, which this scholarship helps make much easier. Many of his teachers believe that he is especially deserving of the money.

"He's a great leader inside the classroom," said Xzavier's math teacher DaShoan Olds. "He's always asking questions and is a big help for me to control the classroom."

His parents are also quite excited as well.

"My husband and I have been working diligently in order to save to pay for his college," his mother Shawntell World said. "He's very excited about that."

Xzavier hopes to go into real estate investment after college.
