PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Historic St. Andrews was filled with lots of paws today.
The third annual Salty Dog Day was held today to raise money for local rescues.
The event is an extension of the market at st. Andrews.
Each year they choose different animal non-profits for the proceeds to go to.
They had a Salty Dog Mayor of St. Andrews election to raise money.
Riley was named this year's Salty Dog Mayor.
Michelle Price, Executive Director of the Historic St. Andrews Waterfront Partnership, said, "This is just a community event, dog-friendly event, to help raise money for rescue efforts in our community. And this year is especially critical because so many animals had to be surrendered as people were displaced after the hurricane."
The event featured various booths with animal treats, groomers and vets.
