Scallopers were able to harvest about 100 scallops from St. Andrew's Bay on Saturday, July 20.
The scallops will be placed in protective cages, where they will be able to multiply over the next year.
According to officials, this will help the ecosystem.
There is no scallop season currently for St. Andrew's Bay, but FWC leaders say the Scallop Rodeo will hopefully help create one in the future.
