Schools closed through at least May 1st

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - UPDATE 3/31/2020 8:30 A.M.

According to the Washington County School District Superintendent, students will not return to school until May 4th. Students under the age of 18 will continue to be fed breakfast and lunch.
School's out for the next month, at least. That's according to the Florida Department of Education.

Monday, the DOE announced schools will be closed through at least May 1st. Florida Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran also announced all extra-curricular activities and school events are also canceled through at least May 1st.

This comes after President Donald Trump's announcement extending the social distancing guidelines to May 1st.
