Suspect wanted in connection with Kraft Avenue shooting arrested

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The suspect wanted in connection with a shooting on Kraft Avenue last month has been arrested.

According to Panama City Police, Kelcey Jones, 29, and the victim got into an argument March 11th. The victim was shot multiple times.

Police charged Jones with attempted second degree murder and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police say Tuesday, Jones was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Panama City Police need your help locating a suspect they believe is involved in a shooting incident that took place on Kraft Avenue in mid-March.

According to officials with the Panama City Police Department, warrants have been issued charging Kelcey Frank Jones with attempted murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

We're told Jones is a black male, roughly 5'8" tall. He weighs approximately 180 lbs. He has short, black hair and a beard.

On March 11th, police say they responded to 317 Kraft Avenue in reference to a shooting. When law enforcement arrived, they say they found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his life-threatening injuries.

Panama City Police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday afternoon.

They say it happened on the 300 block of Kraft Avenue. When police got to the scene, they say they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for the life-threatening injury. If you know anything about this case you're urged to call police.
