SweetBay gets go ahead for Phase II of proposed development

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - St. Andrew Bay Land Company is on track for development of its newest project know as Academy Park.

The Panama City Commission approved a development order for its second phase in SweetBay.

The company intends to develop 68 acres north of Phase I for 227 additional residential dwellings. As plans are developed and finalized they will be submitted to the planning department for further approval.

Panama City Mayor Greg Brudnicki said, "Eventually, there's going to be probably 2,000. There's going to be townhomes out there, there's going to be condos. Their sales have definitely increased in the last year and they have been going at it at a pretty rapid pace."
