UPDATE! Details on the traffic accident that happened on Highway 231 Wednesday evening

A traffic crash caused traffic delays on Highway 231 Wednesday afternoon. (MGN)

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - UPDATE:

We now have the details on the crash that happened Wednesday evening. A truck driven by Allen Linton, 46, of Wewahitchka was traveling south on US 231 approaching Titus Road. A tractor-trailer driven by Daryl Lindsey, 43, of Enterprise, Alabama was at was stopped on Titus Road facing east. Witnesses say that the truck went through the intersection with a green light when the tractor-trailer went through the intersection.The truck then hit the rear of the tractor trailer. Linton was transported to the Bay Medical ER with minor injuries.

All lanes of Highway 231 are now back open after a semi crash near Star Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

One northbound lane of Highway 231 near Star Avenue is closed due to a crash Wednesday afternoon.

Panama City officials say the closure is causing traffic to back up in both directions.

Panama City Police and Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are on scene.
