FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Two teens were arrested in Franklin County after a SnapChat video circulated.

Franklin County Sheriff's Officials say the two teens were arrested Thursday on charges of possession of a weapon-firearm unlawfully by minor, weapon offense-improper exhibit firearm or dangerous weapon, and dealing in stolen property.

Deputies say the video shows the teens, both 13 years-old, are seen in the video showing off the weapon and smoking an unknown substance.

Sheriff AJ Smith says even though this incident was not on school grounds, with school starting Monday, this incident was taken extremely seriously. He says the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office places the highest priority on the safety of our children and community.

The teens are detained in Tallahassee at the Department for Juvenile Justice.
