BAY COUNTY, Fla (WJHG/WECP) - The Knights of Columbus plan to give more than $500,000 to churches impacted by Hurricane Michael.
They stopped by several churches in Bay County on Tuesday. St. John the Evangelist Catholic School was their first stop. The school is a total loss after Hurricane Michael. The school is now operating out of st. Bernadette. the Knights of Columbus stopped by to survey damage and show support.
“We wanted to take the service opportunity to come down to see what’s going on and to provide financial support to some of our churches and some of the residents here and especially the catholic schools,”Supreme Knight, Carl Anderson said.
The Knights of Columbus also stopped by St. Peter and Paul, Vietnamese Parish, and St. Dominic.
