One dead after crash in Jackson County

One many is dead after an accident in Jackson County Tuesday morning.

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A car accident Tuesday morning in Jackson County on County Road 162 left one man dead.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday morning a Ford Taurus, driven by Harry Henry Godwin, 61, of Bradenton, was traveling westbound on County Road 162 when he collided with two trees.

Godwin died but the status of the other two passengers, James Anthony McDonald, 44 of, Dothan, Alabama and Tavoris D. Long, 31, Bessemer, Alabama, is unknown at this time.
