Thursday Forecast

Good Thursday morning everyone!

It's a bit of an active morning on satellite and radar with showers and thunderstorms to our west. But it appears the rain will hold off for most of the morning drive as only Walton and Okaloosa Counties will see rain before 8 or 9am. However, don't leave home without the umbrellas as we'll need them throughout much of the rest of the day. Otherwise, fog isn't as much of an issue but we will have some patchy dense spots possible, especially in some coastal locations.

Slightly breezy winds from the south this morning are still keeping us mild and muggy with temperatures for most in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees this morning. Make it a rain jacket if you need some sleeves for the morning temperatures. Funny thing is, this morning will actually be the warmest we'll be for the day! Highs today will be a bit funky as the warm and moist southerly breeze keeps our morning mild and around the low 70s.

However, as the cold front slides through with the scattered showers and thunderstorms, we'll actually cool off through the afternoon! We'll see temperatures for the late afternoon and evening commute down in the mid to upper 60s. So if you are reaching for a waterproof jacket this morning, be sure it's also a little warm for the late day!

We could see a few showers linger into the overnight and into early Friday morning, especially along the Forgotten Coast. But temperatures will continue to cool off overnight, and we'll have a chilly start to our Valentines day with lows in the 40s.

Clouds tomorrow gradually peel away to mostly sunny skies through the day with seasonal highs in the 60s. If you have any Valentine's Day evening dinner plans, be sure to dress warmly for temperatures cooling off quickly through the 50s in the evening.

Bottom Line...
For today, mostly cloudy skies with showers and storms likely. Temperatures will start out near 70 degrees and gradually fall into the mid 60s by the day's end. Your 7 Day Forecast has a few lingering showers possible into Valentines Day morning with gradually decreasing clouds through the day and chilly temps!
