Vehicle fire spreads to structure in Parker

PARKER, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A fire erupted in Parker early Monday morning sending one person to the hospital.

According to Parker Fire Chief Andrew Kelly, a car heading south on Business Highway 98 was driving fast and missed a curve, causing it to run into a parked truck. The crash occurred next to a wooden structure near Pitts Avenue.

Fire officials say the impact between the two vehicles was so hard that both crashed into the structure causing the vehicles and the building to catch fire.

Chief Kelly says everything was a total loss.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for treatment.
