BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Some non-profits could get some extra help soon.

Volunteer Florida announced $3 million in grant funding is available for Hurricane Michael recovery efforts in Bay, Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Leon, Liberty, Taylor, Wakulla, and Washington Counties.

Organizations must submit their applications by 5 p.m. Friday to be considered.

Applicable organizations are non-profits helping involved with recovery work, mental health services, housing, and food, just to name a few.
