WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Sheriff's officials are investigating after a teen was shot in Walton County Monday night.
They say it happened just before 5 p.m. on Josephene Street in DeFuniak Springs.
They say the 16-year-old was shot in both legs while standing near a vehicle with a group.
Officials say they do not know who fired the shot at this time.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities believe it may have been an accidental shooting.
