WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Some local law enforcement agencies will be giving away free food this weekend.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Chipley Police Department are teaming up for a Farm Share event this Saturday.
It starts at 9 a.m. at the sheriff's office.
Just weeks away from thanksgiving, they'll be distributing about 13,000 pounds of food.
"It's important to Sheriff Crews following Hurricane Michael that we are taking care of our residents in every way possible," WCSO Public Information Officer Kristin Martin said.
Officials ask everyone to line up early.
There's no income requirement. You just have to be a Florida resident.
