Wednesday Forecast

Good Wednesday morning everyone!

It's a quiet start on radar this morning despite a thin veil of upper level clouds moving overhead. It should be thin enough to allow for filtered sunshine throughout the day today, and a beautiful sunrise!

Due to the clouds and onshore wind at the end of the day yesterday increasing a bit of humidity, we're not as chilly this morning. Temperatures are starting out in the mid 50s for most. You may still want a light jacket for the early morning commute, before 7am. Otherwise, temperatures warm very fast today to near 70° by 9am, and most will be able to get away without the extra layer. Highs will top out in the upper 70s on the coast to low to mid 80s inland today even with that filtered sunshine.

Southerly warm and humid flow is taking over the Northern Gulf Coast as our area of high pressure is now shifted out east into the Atlantic. While coastal waters are still cool enough to keep temperatures in the 70s on the beaches and around the bays today, the added humidity to the air and the warmer temperatures over land will allow for some fair weather clouds to puff up this afternoon away from the coast. No rain showers will be found in any of today's clouds, however, our next system is not too far off.

We'll watch another area of low pressure develop out of the Plains today and tomorrow, sliding into the Panhandle Thursday night into Friday morning. There's a decent chance we could see some severe weather develop along another squall line feature developing off a cold front with this system. Gusty winds and a few tornadoes could be possible embedded in this line of storms that passes through, so we'll need to be weather aware Thursday night into Friday morning. The storms should clear out by midday Friday, and a chilly northerly wind will blow through the rest of the day as highs on Friday struggle to reach 70 degrees in the afternoon.

Bottom Line...
For today, mostly sunny skies with a few more clouds inland in the afternoon. Highs today reach the upper 70s on the beaches to low to mid 80s inland. Your 7 Day Forecast has another mainly quiet day tomorrow but more cloud cover with rain chances moving in tomorrow night into Friday morning.
