Wednesday Forecast

Good Wednesday morning everyone!

It's a quiet start on radar once again with clear skies overhead and plenty of sunshine returning to our skies this morning. Grab the shades and something comfy to wear again today as more scorching hot temperatures are heading our way.

We're starting out in the upper 70s to near 80° in some spots on the coast with low to mid 70s inland. Highs today return to the low to mid 90s on the coast and even right back up to near 100° inland, rivaling what we saw yesterday where highs touched 101 and 102° in several spots across the Wiregrass. When you factor in the humidity...we'll all most certainly feel like the low triple digits this afternoon.

The good news is some heat relief is finally on the way tonight and into tomorrow in the form of a cold front passing through. It may even help to stir up some scattered showers late in the day today and overnight tonight as it passes through. But don't expect to see much more than a tenth or two of and inch of rain.

Temperatures may still start out in the 70s for most tomorrow morning after the front moves through around sunrise. However, less humid air and highs only reaching the upper 80s will feel much better after the hot start to this week.

Tropical Update...
Humberto continues to head just north of Bermuda where hurricane force winds, surge, and heavy rains will be a concern tonight and tomorrow. This system will continue off to the Northern Atlantic where it will gradually weaken.

Imelda was named in the Western Gulf yesterday and is already back to a depression as it has moved onshore over Texas where it continues to bring heavy rains.

Tropical Depression 10 also developed into a Tropical Storm in the Atlantic called Jerry. This system will head just north of the Lesser Antilles this weekend, but is also forecast to head north before making landfall in the US as a cold front deflects Jerry to the northeast.

There are also two areas with low developmental chances this morning in the Atlantic. The first, an area of low pressure with a 20% chance of development over the next 5 days around the Lesser Antilles and Caribbean Islands. The second is a new tropical wave coming off the coast of Africa with a 20% chance of development as it moves further west in the far eastern waters of the Atlantic.

Bottom Line...
For today, abundant sunshine with increasing clouds and a slight chance for a passing late day shower continuing into tonight. Highs today remain scorching hot in the low to mid 90s on the coast to around 100° inland with feels like temperatures in the low triple digits. Your 7 Day Forecast finally has a reprieve from the heat arriving tonight and throughout the day tomorrow as a more seasonal air mass moves in with highs in the upper 80s and morning lows in the 60s heading into the weekend.
