Good Wednesday morning everyone!
It's a relatively quiet start on radar after we've seen just an isolated shower or two pass by this morning. We'll have a small chance for a few more small, spotty, brief light showers or sprinkles again this morning.
Otherwise, you'll have a foggy start! Visibility is down well below a mile in many locations this morning. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for NWFL through 10am as it will take some time for it to lift out. We'll need to plan for a few extra minutes out the door this morning in anticipation of slower travels due to the fog. We're waking up mild and muggy once again today.
If you didn't need the jacket yesterday, you won't need it today either. We'll warm up into the 70s after about 9 or 10am and that will help lift this fog deck out to another cloudy day. Despite the clouds yesterday, the coast was able to reach the low to mid 70s. Inland areas saw some peeks of sunshine in the afternoon and warmed up into the upper 70s near 80 degrees. I think the clouds will be a bit thicker today and those sun rays will be fewer. But we'll still manage to warm into the 70s Panhandle wide this afternoon, low to mid 70s on the coast again to upper 70s inland.
The frontal system which has been parked to our northwest will finally slide through the Southeast tonight and into tomorrow. Until it moves through, we'll only have a few spotty brief showers around, like yesterday, mainly inland. Rain chances are much more likely in the forecast tomorrow morning as the front moves in.
We'll deal with batches of showers and occasional rumbles throughout our day tomorrow, with a few even lingering into early Friday morning before we clear out and see a brief cool down into the early weekend.
For today, fog likely in the morning lifting out around 9 or 10am to cloudy skies with a few stray, small, brief showers around, rain chance at 10-20%. Some fog may linger on the immediate coast or in our Gulf and Bay waters today, returning to the coast by this evening, and spreading inland overnight. Highs today reach the low to mid 70s on the coast to upper 70s inland. Your 7 Day Forecast brings in better rain chances through the day tomorrow with skies clearing out through the day on Friday.
