Good Wednesday morning everyone!
Meteorologist Ryan Michaels showing the summer-like conditions of our Wednesday morning.
It's a relatively quiet start this morning on radar with otherwise mostly cloudy skies and slightly breezy winds. We have a chance this morning to catch a stray light shower. It's a hardly umbrella worthy chance as they'll be few and far between, as well as, light in nature. We'll see this morning rain chance slightly pick up through the hours of about 8am to noon.
Otherwise, it's a warm and breezy morning with most waking up in the 70s and winds from the west southwest at 10-15mph with occasional higher gusts. We'll keep those warm westerly winds throughout the daytime as highs push up into the 80s just about Panhandle-wide this afternoon under partly to mostly sunny skies.
There's a weak cold front to our north that's stirring up a few showers here and on up into AL and GA more specifically. However, the front never passes through, instead slides east out into the Atlantic and we won't get a break from the heat.
High pressure quickly builds in, pairing up with dry air, behind this front helping to clear out our afternoon sky and bring us plenty of sunshine through the end of the work week. But this ridge also stacks up aloft in our atmosphere and that will bring us quite a bit of heat to go along with that sunshine. Highs this afternoon should have no troubles reaching near 80 on the coast to the mid 80s inland. Heading into Thursday and Friday, our inland high have a chance of reaching the upper 80s to near 90°!
We'll keep some of that heat and sunshine heading into the weekend with partly sunny skies and highs gradually backing down into the mid 80s inland to near 80 on the coast.
For today, mostly cloudy skies with a shower possible in the morning to skies turning partly to mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs today near 80 on the coast to the mid 80s inland. Your 7 Day Forecast brings in a small wave of heat and more sunshine for the end of the work week.
