Store officials, along with community leaders and happy customers, joined in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday to mark the opening of the newly renovated Winn-Dixie at Highway 231 and Transmitter Road.
The Mosely High School Band entertained customers prior to the official grand opening.
Store officials say the reopening took so long because everything in the store had to be bought brand new rather than trying to repair old equipment.
"It was a Godsend that this place came back cause it's been a long time. Oh, it's beautiful! It's a great store. It's a beautiful store, you know, with everything's laid outright," sais one local.
Winn-Dixie also donated to several local charities to show their support for the community they serve.
