PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG) - High pressure settling into the area for the first half of the week means drier conditions than normal are in store through Thursday. Some showers and thunderstorms are possible for Monday, but will primarily impact areas further inland; the coast will likely remain dry over the coming days.
Seabreeze storms will attempt a return by Thursday, and a shortwave trough will move into the Southeast by midweek that could also produce thunderstorm activity in the northern portions of the area (assuming a northwesterly flow assists in this.) Regular storm chances return to the region by Friday.
