MARIANNA, FL (WJHG/WECP) From softball to baseball and a team that's happy to be able to play again on their home field.
Tuesday and Wednesday the first games on the home field for the Marianna Bulldogs.
That because of the damage done to their field by the hurricane.
They lost both games, to Blountstown Tuesday and to Catholic last night.
Still the Bulldogs, after playing their previous home games this season at Chipola, or games on the road, happy to be back home!
"The kids have done a lot of work, the coaches have too." Marianna head coach Bobby Hughes told us. "Along with our Jackson County School Board, they've done a lot of work to get this up and going. Stuart Wiggins (Jackson County Director of Facilities) has been head over all this and he's done a great job. I'm just proud that we've got to get out here the last two days and play our first real home games. It means a lot to these seniors kids and the parents."
Marianna plays two games on the road next week, the Bulldogs are back home against Sneads on April 30th.
