MARIANNA, FL (WJHG/WECP) It is a rather big honor for one of Chipola's softball national champions.
Pitcher Amy Woodham has been named the Betty Jo Graber NJCAA female player of the year!
That means she's been chosen as the best of all the young ladies who played volleyball, hoops and softball this last year.
37-2 in her two seasons pitching for Chipola, the Slocumb, Alabama product was 29-2 this past season, with a 1.64 ERA, while helping the Indians notch conference and national championships. In fact she was the winning pitcher in all five of Chipola's wins at the national tournament.
Amy will play on a U-A-B this fall.
