Gulf Coast sophomore lands First Team All-America honors

PANAMA CITY, FL (WJHG/WECP) Gulf Coast lands yet another player on the NJCAA's All-America Women's First Team.

Ahlana Smith gets First Team All-America honor.

That being Gulf coast sophomore guard Ahlana Smith. She becomes the 22nd Gulf Coast women's hoops player to get All America honors.

Smith finished this past season ranked 10th nationally in steals,4th in total points, 2nd in points per game with 20 and 2nd in field goal percentage. Smith bound for the University of Louisville to continue her career.

No area second teamers, Northwest Florida freshman forward Chanaya Pinto though getting third team All-America honors, she averaged 14 points 3 assists and 3 steals per game.

Her teammate, sophomore forward Rayven Peeples gets honorable mention, 14 points, 7 rebounds a game for Peeples. She and Pinto leading the Lady Raiders to the Conference and State Championships!
