MIAMI, FL (WJHG/WECP) The start of JJ Bleday's professional baseball career is on hold, but that shouldn't be for much longer.
As you probably know by now, Bleday the first round pick of the Miami Marlins, 4th overall.
There was talk JJ might go straight from Nashville to South but his father now tells us Bleday will fly home Sunday, then go to Miami from here.
He won't go south though until the contract is agreed upon. His agent Scott Boras, is working on that. When he gets there, he'll get a physical, and then, the team says, it will let him take some swings at Marlins Park, meet the team, then meet up with the media in Miami.
JJ, who led the nation with 27 homers, with a .347 average, expected to start either in Low-A ball in Clinton, Iowa or High-A in Jupiter in Palm Beach County.
