Liberty hires Greg Jordan as football coach and A.D.

BRISTOL, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - When students return to Liberty County High School in January 2020, a new football coach will arrive for his first day on the job along with them.

Greg Jordan is headed to Liberty, where he'll officially begin his role as head coach and athletic director on January 6th. Confirmed to NewsChannel 7 by assistant principal Tim Davis, Jordan was approved at a board meeting Friday morning.

The coaching veteran spent the last two seasons at Port St. Joe, leading the Tiger Sharks to a 16-9 record with a Final Four appearance in 2018. Before that, 12 years at Blountstown yielded more than 100 victories with 11 playoff appearances and two trips to the state championship.

The Bulldogs have been coached by Derek Causseaux for the last three seasons, going 5-25 overall with a 2-8 mark in 2019. Davis says Causseaux will be retained as an assistant.
