5A region quarterfinals are up first, District 2 runner up Mosley, taking a 15 and 11 mark on the road to Ridgeview, just outside Jacksonville.

Seeding this year is determined by strength of schedule, Mosley winds up five out of eight in their region.

They started the season with a road trip to Alabama, playing up in class in and out of state.

While their record may have suffered a bit in the process but it was all in preparation for now.

Mosley head coach Michelle Mask said, "This is my seventh year at Mosley and six of those years we made it to state playoffs. We're not unfamiliar with this at all, it's kind of a normal progression for us at this point. We've been playing 25 games to prepare for the next two weeks. This is what we've been preparing for the whole time so I think we're ready."

7 p.m. eastern start time for the Dolphins.

Arnold's match, also a 7 p.m. eastern start at Wakulla, the district two champion.

There are fewer districts this year, so the 32 team tournament now features at-large bids, including Arnold.

The Marlins finish the regular season 18-and-8, seeded sixth in the region and squeaking into the tourney thanks to the MaxPreps power ranking.

They're excited about the opportunity, drawing a war eagle team they split the season series with.

They're also relieved after an anxious weekend refreshing the FHSAA bracket webpage.

Arnold coach Madison Wichterman said, "We were still ranked higher in the state so there was still a pretty good chance that we were moving on so we were just watching other districts and seeing how they would finish and what that would do to us. We kind of had an idea we would be moving on but we were holding our breath on Sunday when we got the confirmation."

In three meetings between Arnold and Wakulla, the home team have won each match with the War Eagles leading 2-1.
