Mosley football may wind up forfeiting two wins this season

LYNN HAVEN, FL (WJHG/WECP) There is more bad news for the Mosley Dolphins football program. They may be forced to forfeit their two wins this season over Bay and Pace, in the wake of apparently playing an inelgible player.

That player, we're told, left Mosley after the storm last October. At that time he was academically eligible. He returned to Mosley this fall, and his GPA left him inelgible, but that wasn't caught by any of the Mosley staff.

Pace's coach pointed that out to Mosley A.D. Josh Vandergrift who looked into the matter, and then self-reported the issue to the FHSAA, which is investigating.

That could lead to the forfeits which would likely kill any postseason hopes for the 'fins.

Last week, Mosley head coach Jeremy Brown suspended for disobeying his principal and keeping on a volunteer assistant with a criminal record.

Mosley at 2-4 for now, has a bye week this week.
